so i imagined the fan speeds could be represented with a vrtical bar (to use less space), like in 'graphic equalizer' of the audio equipments i think it doesnt needs a gauge, also having 3 gauges could look a bit weird/confusing for someone, is more intuitive to have only 2 gauges, and the fan using something different.

is just i think that color needs to have a huge brigthnessĪnd for the fan speeds. but yellow or the orange one you was using is not so bad. to achieve a bigger contrast wth the colors of the gauge. I changed the color of the needle to white. this results in a couple of interesting areas in between 60-80 (that should be around the normal range ingame), and 80-100 for the def-con modes, lol If you prefer to use others i will agree with it, this ones are just what i got in the first tests with themĪlso, i divided in symmetrical sections of 20 each. and that resulted in a intermediate pink, etc. i tryed to use a color scale from light blue (representing cold) to red (hot). i avoided using yellow and green tones because couold result in a low contrast with the color of the needle. In that squared area i used that 'frame' in metal colors you made that looks like an LCD display, it was looking good, that space also allows to display the digits like in a '7-segments display' btw (incase you are creative and want to try other style for it)įor the digits inside it, i reduced it to only 1 decimal, i think is enought with 1 I removed also the low values of the gauge (from 0 to 10) to make room in that square at the corner again to make it more visible from the distance Instead of it, i added a thin line all around onf 1 pixel (the same you was doing in the gauges for CELL/RSX) but i continued with an square at bottom-left to make room to display the value with a bigger font. I removed a circle (or around 2 pixels width) all around because this allows me to maximize the diamter and made a better usage of the area available, the goal of making the gauges bigger is to allow to see them from far away The rule is easy to remember, the value at the center of the gauge (when needle is vertical) is always 50 The first decission i took was to use the scale you made in the fan gauge, because it have the value 50 perfectly aligned with the vertical, thats a nice reference My thanks to you, aldostools, and Luan Teles, for your contributions to the PS3 scene.I made a sketchup with some ideas, and im going to try to explain the arguments why i made every change I don't want to come off sounding unappreciative of your work. Taking one's hand off the controller or eyes off the screen, while gaming, might result in death or some sort of a bad gaming experience. One needs to keep both hands on the controller while gaming to do the best playing in the game. It's kind of undesirable to look at another device while gaming or take your eyes off the screen while gaming.

I have noticed that Luan's Teles PS3 4K Pro Mod makes the overlay (that pops up upon querying the CPU/RSX temperature & fan speed) transparent, so it's more bearable to game and not have some of the gaming view being blocked by CPU/GPU temps message. And that would be sweet! And the temps can be constantly monitored being on a small display overlay on the screen. And if it could someway be just 1 line of info on that overlay (only one line with the CPU/GPU temps and fan speed), it would make the overlay significantly smaller and not block so much of the screen. What I'm trying to convey is that the overlay message has so many lines of info that it blocks one from seeing some parts of the (screen) game being played. And if I select yes, I'm taken back to the XMB screen, and not in game anymore to see the temps while in game. If I do, do I have to uninstall webMan from the PS3? Or could I be doing something wrong, since I don't see the cpu/gpu temps being displayed in game when I hold down Select and Start while I'm in game, using the plain webMan? Also, when I hold down the PS Button while in game, I just get a promt asking me if I want to quit the game. So, I'm thinking maybe I need to install and try out webMan Mod. My understanding is that webMan Mod is a separate software to just plain webMan. So, let me say that I don't know what version of webMan is on my PS3, as it was installed when I installed OverFlow 4.85.

I'm new to CFW and even console gaming, for that matter. I only get the game going into pause, when I try that in game. I have tried holding down the Select and Start buttons to see the temps, and it works when I'm not in game, but when I try it in game, it wont display that temps message. OK Let me explain something? I'm using the webMan that comes preinstalled with OverFlow 4.85 CFW.
